Ahoy! Welcome to Ocean Tales. A workshop for the ocean babes of your family, centred on whales and watercolours.

Learn drawing and painting techniques through painting the ocean and our favourite animals of the sea - as well as hear stories from the wild from a certified Whale Whisperer & Wildlife Photography Guide.

ABOUT YOUR ART GUIDE
Hey, I’m Kate. I have a passion for the wild and connecting into nature through art and adventure. Like many other people, the ocean holds a special place in my heart. So much so, I moved to the Pacific to swim with whales for a few months. You can see a little more about my experience with art and adventure here at www.katecarragher.com.

MY ART PHILOSOPHY
Spending so much time with the whales in the water, I love to paint and draw them. I truly believe that we all have the power to create - and there’s nothing I love more than seeing my students light up when they tap into that and to realise the potential we all have inside.

The class is open to all levels.

Art is very much about being able to see - and I will teach your child techniques that have been passed down through my family of artists and that we have taught hundreds of students over the years to help bring this out for them too.

The class also features fun scientific facts and stories from my wildlife encounters to encourage our students to connect in with the environment, the wider world, and to themselves.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
* 1.5 hour class of art and stories from the deep
* Adventure talk
* Classes are limited to 6, and kept small so that each child gets the opportunity to have 1-on-1 tutoring.

At the end of the class, you will get to leave with your own creation to take home.


WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING

WHERE
Our class is held in a cottage garden studio in the north part of the seaside village of Catherine Hill Bay. For Mum, Dad or guardians, there is a fantastic cafe up the road, as well as in nearby Swansea or you may even feel like doing your own ocean studies at the beach across the road.
